Wayback Break2

with 6 comments

This morning we woke up in a strange bed away from home. I’m letting the Wayback Machine determine what today’s blog post will be (from the Previous Somethings archive). Just click on the image! (One time, when I tested it, it popped me into an entire month from 2010 instead of just a single post. The powers of the Wayback Machine are mystically magical, indeed.)

  1. I love the idea but it doesn’t work for me. Just makes the image, bigger.

    • Hmm. Hopefully, you can alternatively navigate the “Previous Somethings” tab to select a month from the archives. It would be a manual version of Wayback Machine surprise!

  2. I got May 30, 2019, and it reminded me of my day yesterday! I played congas and bongos in the second staff band rehearsal in a week, and I could feel it in my hands: I sure haven’t played hand drums in a while! But it was fun, and I look forward to the little staff band performance this weekend at the employee party. 🙂

  3. I tried it, was successful, but now I’m curious… what did you do about the triangular slab of concrete from May 21, 2015? 🙂

    • Wonderful! This is a great question. Umm… without a great answer. The farthest I got was to prop it up on a couple of logs while trying to figure out where to move it. Eight years later, the logs have begun to decay and the slab seems like it is back on the ground. The trees around it have only gotten bigger, except for the ones that have fallen over.
One of these days, I will find a new inspiration to use it for something. Then I will figure out how to possibly move it.
Thank you so much for asking about it! This is a great reward for me for the Wayback Machine working just the way I would wish. ❤️
