I wonder if you had a grandmother like mine, John. I rather think you did. Her reaction to your words would be: Now let’s sit down to a good cuppa tea. Her tea was strong – very strong – and so we added lots of milk and sugar. And so we sat with her and, before we got to the tea leaves, the world was miraculously set to rights. What a sense of presence she still conveys to me and you, my friend. What a sense of comfort, compassion and care.

This morning, being less inclined to tea, I let a cup of hot cocoa do the trick. Worked wonders!
You, my good sir, are one of my present sources of comfort, compassion and care.
