I was called up sharp with this sort of questioning recently by my sister in relation to my mother. I ended up crying in despair. But at the end of the day, what use is regret? We can only learn from our actions and work at doing better in the new day. Use our experience to guide us. That is, all those other scenarios are truly water under the bridge. Ours is to plant a beautiful landscape on the banks of the river.
