I am something of an Ice-man, but I have my weak moments. A biting wind, more often than not, is one of them.

Indeed, certain winds are well-known for changing people’s moods, often for the worst so that ‘biting’ is a very apt description. My guess is that you understand the problem and with it the solution, better than most! Maybe your horse should be white like the snow, John – yes, a beautiful white stallion with a long flowing mane:-)
