For the most part, I am just a bystander. But, I am also a fan. I get to experience Cyndie’s magical development with sensing horses, by way of her stories about what transpires. I have never been present when she is receiving information from horses, so I only have her stories from which to draw conclusions. The remarkable aspect that I am able to observe is the processing Cyndie does when she arrives home after one of these sessions.

She describes how the process requires her to clear her head of her own thoughts and be open to perceiving what a horse may be communicating. After hearing it enough times, I have grown to understand how each time she senses something, her natural reaction is to question it. It doesn’t come from her own brain, so when she tries to process the perceptions that develop, they initially seem curious. Cyndie tends to question herself a bit, and wonder if what she is perceiving is for real.

I listen to her describe it when she is home, and I can observe how she continues to ruminate over her experience. Often, she goes online to research information relating to what she experienced, and that is usually followed by an impressive amount of affirmation. I have yet to witness anything but validation. It is usually at this point that she expresses a realization that she can, and probably should, trust her gut on these things. She has to, really. How can you rely on your own brain when the input you are processing comes from someplace else?

Yesterday’s messages were not as concise as others she has received. They were harder for Cyndie to categorize. This was a case where she had been specifically asked to check a horse that seemed to be ailing, but that the vet hasn’t been able to diagnose. After dinner last night, Cyndie did research on Lyme disease in horses. Bingo. Everything she sensed aligns with the signs and symptoms.

I said, “A horse can’t tell you it has Lyme disease. It doesn’t know there is a place called Lyme in Connecticut.”

It doesn’t work that way. You can see why, for now, I am just a bystander.
